The Value of Joy - Day 5

Good Morning blog hoppers :)

First on our agenda is to announce the winner of the Snowman Love set. Chosen by random.org is America!!!!! Congratulations America! Please email your address to me and I'll get your stamp set right out to you! Thank you to everyone who has been hopping with us, it's so much fun for us and we hope for you as well!

Once again it's time to hop around looking at our featured set for today. This one is Jami Bova's third set for the February 2nd release. It's called "The Value of Joy" and is ADORABLE!!!

Maraya made this first card and I love the colors she used! She also paper pieced the puppy and the butterfly, very cool! Check out that perfect bow :) You can find more details on her blog.

I made the second card and look how well the images work even with colors so different. Mine are so much subtler than Maraya's and they still work! It's such a fun set.

Okay, the rules for the blog hop today. First, which I'm sure you can guess by now :), go to each of the dt member's blog and see what they created with this fun set, be sure to leave them a comment.

Then come back to the 2RedBananas blog and leave us a comment telling us what kind of stamps you would like to see more of on the market. For instance, do you think there needs to be more boy stamps, more sympathy stamps, more unusual holiday stamps??? We value you opinions so think about stamps that you wish you had. Let us know what you think? You will then be eligible to win "The Value of Joy" stamp set. The winner will be drawn by random.org tomorrow at 9:00am EST when the next blog hop will begin.

So get hoppin'! Have a great day!

  1. I enjoyed blog hopping with you!
Wow! The question is so hard... I would say boy stamps or man themed stamps are not as popular as other. And maybe some professional stamps, different professions of people.

  2. I adore this set! In a bit of a hurry this morning so I can't blog hop--but I'll try to later. Anyway, I wouldn't want to enter for another set anyway since I won, but I would love to see more boy sets and also sets that would be to make for kids cards. For example I am trying to start giving my kids cards to say I love you and stuff....that they did a good job, that they're awesome.....those kind of things!

  7. Great hop again!! Loving all the cards and LO's made with all of the new stamp sets! Wonderful to see jami's art come to life!

I would say boy sets are lacking, I would also say I would like to see an Art Deco style stamp set, posters maybe, buildings, people from that Era.
    Thanks!!

  8. I love this puppy in his bandana!! Adorable!! The one set I haven't seen at all is a set for men who love shooting sports like trap and skeet and sporting clays. A word stamp that says "Pull!", a broken clay pigeon, etc. I would love this for my husband!!

  9. tough question! i can't even keep up with everything. i love the puppy set from today and would love to see him laying down too, with his little head on his paws.

i agree that boy/man sets are lacking. I do prefer my people to look more realistic - more like jami did with the soldier and less like say, sophia from paper pretties. she's cute, but not really a style that i gravitate to....it's a little too cutesy for me. (i hope that in no way comes across as disparaging, b/c i see really cute cards made with sophia and wish christy all the best.)
i do like have sentiments with images and i think a good quote set would be awesome - not simple phrases like i see alot, but full blown quotes like in today's set.

  10. All of the cards and scrapbook pages with this set are totally awesome.

I think more man sets with sentiments. Also, cat sets.

I have really enjoyed this blog hopping. It is fun.

  12. I'm enjoying the blog hopping. For my church's card ministry we make a lot of get well, thinking of you and sympathy cards. Masculine versions of these are always needed too. Images with verses are great and maybe extra sentiment sets.

There are so many wonderful, uplifting quotes out there I'd love to see more of them turned into stamps! Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  17. Another awesome hop! The DP's creations were amazing and I love the sentiments and doggie!! I have to say I would love some tween boy stamps. I have two neighbor kids who are 12 and 10, that I would love to make cards for. They are just the sweetest kids ever, but I just don't have anything for them.

    Smiles,
