The Value of Joy - Day 5

Good Morning blog hoppers :)

First on our agenda is to announce the winner of the Snowman Love set. Chosen by is America!!!!! Congratulations America! Please email your address to me and I'll get your stamp set right out to you! Thank you to everyone who has been hopping with us, it's so much fun for us and we hope for you as well!

Once again it's time to hop around looking at our featured set for today. This one is Jami Bova's third set for the February 2nd release. It's called "The Value of Joy" and is ADORABLE!!!

Maraya made this first card and I love the colors she used! She also paper pieced the puppy and the butterfly, very cool! Check out that perfect bow :) You can find more details on her blog.

I made the second card and look how well the images work even with colors so different. Mine are so much subtler than Maraya's and they still work! It's such a fun set.

Okay, the rules for the blog hop today. First, which I'm sure you can guess by now :), go to each of the dt member's blog and see what they created with this fun set, be sure to leave them a comment.

Then come back to the 2RedBananas blog and leave us a comment telling us what kind of stamps you would like to see more of on the market. For instance, do you think there needs to be more boy stamps, more sympathy stamps, more unusual holiday stamps??? We value you opinions so think about stamps that you wish you had. Let us know what you think? You will then be eligible to win "The Value of Joy" stamp set. The winner will be drawn by tomorrow at 9:00am EST when the next blog hop will begin.

So get hoppin'! Have a great day!

  1. I enjoyed blog hopping with you!
Wow! The question is so hard... I would say boy stamps or man themed stamps are not as popular as other. And maybe some professional stamps, different professions of people.

  2. I adore this set! In a bit of a hurry this morning so I can't blog hop--but I'll try to later. Anyway, I wouldn't want to enter for another set anyway since I won, but I would love to see more boy sets and also sets that would be to make for kids cards. For example I am trying to start giving my kids cards to say I love you and stuff....that they did a good job, that they're awesome.....those kind of things!

  3. What a cute set! I really like it! I always like seeing more boy sets since I have a little guy and girl sets are really easy to come by.

  4. I'm always looking for that perfect sentiment! of course it's hard to define what that is!!

  5. WOW!! I won???? OMGOSH, thats so awesome!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I didnt expect it and was going to purchase this set anyway, so now that Ive won it, Im going to design with it to make you proud!! Thats really awesome. Its been fun hopping! Also would like to answer this next question, but(please dont enter me into another drawing as Ive already won a set)...

I was ecstatic to see that Jami designed that wonderful Military set as there arent many out there and Im always looking for them. :) Now, Id also like to see more variety of man/boy/masculine sets in the market. Thanks for asking!

  6. p.s. LOVE the mojo sketch and cute design of the Maraya's card and the great DP and coloring of the Jeanette's adorable card. The Value of Joy is another SUPER DUPER sweet set by Jami!!!

  7. Great hop again!! Loving all the cards and LO's made with all of the new stamp sets! Wonderful to see jami's art come to life!

I would say boy sets are lacking, I would also say I would like to see an Art Deco style stamp set, posters maybe, buildings, people from that Era.

  8. I love this puppy in his bandana!! Adorable!! The one set I haven't seen at all is a set for men who love shooting sports like trap and skeet and sporting clays. A word stamp that says "Pull!", a broken clay pigeon, etc. I would love this for my husband!!

  9. tough question! i can't even keep up with everything. i love the puppy set from today and would love to see him laying down too, with his little head on his paws.

i agree that boy/man sets are lacking. I do prefer my people to look more realistic - more like jami did with the soldier and less like say, sophia from paper pretties. she's cute, but not really a style that i gravitate's a little too cutesy for me. (i hope that in no way comes across as disparaging, b/c i see really cute cards made with sophia and wish christy all the best.)
i do like have sentiments with images and i think a good quote set would be awesome - not simple phrases like i see alot, but full blown quotes like in today's set.

  10. All of the cards and scrapbook pages with this set are totally awesome.

I think more man sets with sentiments. Also, cat sets.

I have really enjoyed this blog hopping. It is fun.

  11. I enjoyed blog-hopping today :) So many beautiful creations to see!
I think that we could all see more boy themed stamps, papers, embellies, etc ;)

  12. I'm enjoying the blog hopping. For my church's card ministry we make a lot of get well, thinking of you and sympathy cards. Masculine versions of these are always needed too. Images with verses are great and maybe extra sentiment sets.

  13. The girls all did a great job on their creations, I really like the dog colored like a german shepard, and of course I always love Jami's cards, but all the girls did an awesome job and I will have to be buying this set!!!

  14. love the stamps... and I would say what there is not enough of is stamps with boys theme.
it is hard to do cards for teen boys...
    thanks for the great samples

  15. Beautiful stamps. I am just so happy for Jami and for the entire 2RedCrew!!! I really love seeing more sentiment stamps out there, like the beautiful butterfly one from this new set. There are so many wonderful, uplifting quotes out there I'd love to see more of them turned into stamps! Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  16. Love all the dog cards, really a nice set. I would love to see more kitty sets. I am a cat lover and love all the stamps I see of cats.
Thanks for the chance to win.

  17. Another awesome hop! The DP's creations were amazing and I love the sentiments and doggie!! I have to say I would love some tween boy stamps. I have two neighbor kids who are 12 and 10, that I would love to make cards for. They are just the sweetest kids ever, but I just don't have anything for them.

  18. aaaaaw what a cute dog stamp!!! :D id like to see more dog stamps actually :P since i have 2 dogs and dont find so many dog theme sets.
